How to read your daily sales and know if your shop is growing
What the ZayWalMal Sales page shows, how revenue is counted, and the simple questions to ask each week to see what is working in your shop.

Many small shop owners know how busy they feel, but not how much they actually sold. The Sales page gives you a clear picture. This guide explains what each number means so you can make better decisions.
What counts as a sale
The Sales page only counts Completed orders. Orders that are Preparing, Ready or Cancelled are not included.
Two details matter:
- Completed counts, whether or not the order is marked Paid. If you complete an order that is still Unpaid, it still appears in your revenue. Check your Orders page for unpaid completed orders so your sales figures match the money you really received.
- Sales are grouped by the day the order was placed, not the day you completed it.
If your numbers look low, the most common reason is simple: orders were delivered but never marked Completed.
The main numbers
Month revenue
The large number is your total revenue for the month you are viewing. Use the arrows at the top to move to earlier months. If you choose a date range, it becomes the range revenue for those dates.
Active days
This shows how many days in the period had at least one completed order. It helps you separate "busy shop" from "a few very big days".
Pickup and delivery split
The Distribution panel shows how much of your revenue came from pickup orders and how much from delivery. This tells you where your customers prefer to buy, which helps you plan packing time, courier costs and opening hours.
The daily table
Each row shows one day: the number of orders, the revenue, and a vs Daily Avg figure. That last number compares the day's revenue to your average for the active days in the period. A plus means a better-than-usual day, and a minus means a slower one.
Questions to ask every week
Spend ten minutes on the Sales page every Monday and ask:
- Which days were strongest? If Fridays are always your best day, post and promote on Thursdays.
- What happened on my best day? Did you run a promotion or post a video? Do that again.
- What happened on my weakest days? Maybe it was a holiday, or maybe you were slow to reply.
- Is delivery growing or shrinking compared with pickup? Check that your delivery prices cover your costs.
- Am I better than last month? Use the month arrows to compare. One month is not a trend, but three months in a row is.
Use a date range for campaigns
Running a promotion? Set the date range to the days the deal was live and compare it with a normal period of the same length. This shows whether the promotion brought extra revenue or only moved sales from one day to another. See how to create promotions that sell for deal ideas.
Export your numbers
The CSV button downloads the daily table for the month you are viewing. Keep one file per month for your records, your accountant, or your own planning.
Remember what the page does not show
Revenue is not profit. The page shows what customers paid, not what the stock cost you, your packaging, delivery or time. When you plan, compare your revenue with your costs. Our guide on how to price your products helps you set prices that leave real profit.
